Lisa has been photographing weddings for a decade, all across the continent. She works predominantly with film for its natural and luminous qualities. As a photographer, she aims to represent subtle gestures, human relationships, quiet things: the beautiful, unrepeatable elements that make up a wedding day. Her cameras of choice are the Contax 645 and Hasselblad film cameras.
Lisa frequently travels to the East Coast for weddings in RI, NY, and CT, in addition to photographing weddings closer to her Midwestern home. She especially enjoys working with fellow creatives and lovers of nuance.
Lisa studied fine art photography at the Rhode Island School of Design and continues to practice photography as an art form. Happily nestled with her husband and cat in Indiana, she also works as the curator for Pictura Gallery (a fabulous place to be lost and found inside all manner of photographic books and prints). Her many loves include C.S. Lewis, Leo Tolstoy and George Eliot, the cities of Oxford and Assisi, coastal Rhode Island, cycling about town, and Bloomington’s beautiful farmer’s market.
